A family member does not need to accompany the patient (hereinafter referred to as "attendant"). Constant care is given to ensure that all needed nursing services are provided during hospitalization. Please consult with the attending doctor or chief nurse of the hospital ward if a member of the family would like to be an attendant for patient due to the medical condition or other reasons. (Permission from the attending doctor is needed.）

• A family attendant is only permitted in cases approved by the physician after submission of an “in-hospital family permit application.”
• A bed for the attendant can be rented for a fee. After receiving approval to be an attendant, please apply to the in-hospital handling clerk (Kyokujinkai).
• Rental charge for a bed for the attendant
  420 yen/day

Please note that meals are not provided for attendants.
